With decades long experience in international relations, Johnny and Nobu, co-founders of Yuto Corporation, met at Pomona College more than 20 years ago.

Johnny worked in the U.S. Department of State as a diplomat since 2010, and was a practicing attorney in the states of Maryland and Virginia prior to his diplomatic work. His parents were involved in several successful restaurant businesses throughout 1980-2020. Johnny wants to bring his dream of cultural understanding and great food to Okinawa.

Nobu has straddled both Japan and the United States, working in the realms of web design and digital media for the past 20 years. He worked at Rakuten and Viki before moving to Okinawa in 2019. True to the phase “bankoku shinryo”, he endeavors to bridge Okinawa to the world and the world to Okinawa.
